The perfect addition to the XHD rear bumper is the matching XHD Tire Carrier Mount. The latch uses a sturdy locking mechanism for security and a tough appearance. Our engineers have gone to great lengths to make this the quietest tire carrier on the market, no more rattling! The massive hinge pivots on a heavy-duty roller bearing and supports up to a 35” tire. A multi-position locking pin mechanism keeps the arm in the open position when you need to open the tailgate, even on the steepest grade. The XHD Tire Carrier Mount attaches to the XHD Rear Bumper using the D-ring mounts for a solid foundation.

If you have installed larger tires on your rig then a matching spare tire is a must. The problem comes when you try to bolt that new monster tire/wheel combo on your factory spare tire mount. Rugged Ridge has the answer with the HD Tire Carrier and Spare Tire Spacer. The HD Tire Carrier is constructed of heavy 1/4” steel plate and mounts to the tailgate. The tire is relocated two inches up and out from the old mount for larger tire clearance (Maximum tire size=35”). The Spare Tire Spacer bolts to your existing factory spare tire mount and relocates the tire two inches up and out. Both the HD Tire Carrier and Spare Tire Spacer feature 5x4.5” and 5x5.5” wheel bolt patterns and tough powdercoated black textured finish. Caution: The tailgates on 07-10 Wrangler models are not designed to hold extra large tires. Therefore,do not use a tire larger than a 33x12.50” or equivalent tire with this spacer. If you want to carry a larger tire, we recommend using the XHD tire carrier listed on the next page.
