So I get a lot of emails and it is hard to read everything that comes through sometimes, but when I get an email that says “Subject:  Jeeps and Girls Photo Shoot”…   I was sold – didn’t need to read it just sign me up!

A local photographer contacted us to use a few our Jeep Wranglers in a photo shoot with some swimsuit models. He is working on an car calendar and wanted to feature some offroad shots using a few of the built Rugged Ridge Jeeps. For some reason it wasn’t very hard to find guys willing to lend him their rigs for the day. These are some test shots we were sent from the initial shoot. Don’t worry there will be more pics to come as this was first round and we are currently scheduling a multistage shoot for this project.

GLOBAL MEDIA AWARDS

Each year the top companies in the aftermarket automotive industry head to SEMA to show off their wares. A panel of industry leaders and magazine editors comb these new products looking for the best products in the show. When the votes were tallied Omix-ADA / Rugged Ridge emerged as one of the most decorated companies in the Off-Road Sector. We received three prestigious SEMA Global Media Awards for our innovative All Terrain Truck Floor Liners and 2007-1o Wrangler Rear Cargo Storage Bin.

So, it’s that time of year again. Anyone who is anyone who loves cars is talking about what will be going on at the 2009 SEMA Show. We started off our blog with some SEMA Show history where Rugged Ridge rocked out and took home several awards last year for our designs, now it’s time for Rugged Ridge to start talking about this years show. Let’s start off with something light—shall we? Our 17×9 Aluminum Wheels for 2007-10 Jeep Wrangler (JK ) are pictured in the  first edition of this year’s SEMA Show Daily Guide on page 23.

Here’s a little blurb from the Rugged Ridge suits awesome cool guys on the wheels of steel:

Rugged Ridge is proud to introduce the toughest new design in custom wheels for 2007-09 Wrangler. This Hub-Centric design exactly centers the wheel over the hub providing the best fit possible and the proper clearance for brake rotors, steering components and suspension. Better fit, no wheel vibration! Stainless steel button-head socket cap screws around the perimeter of the outer wheel face give a great 3-piece look, and also let you accessorize with our optional trim ring. Each wheel includes a UV-treated polished center cap that replicates a manual hub for that off road look. Available in four finishes: Satin Black Powdercoated, Satin Black Powdercoated with Machined Lip, Silver Powdercoated, and Dual-Stage Polished Chrome. The durable powdercoated finish gives an ultra-hard finish for long life and a great look. The chrome finish uses a dual-stage process to give a deep reflective mirror-like chrome finish that commands attention. Rugged Ridge wheels have been independently tested and certified to meet/exceed SAE J2530 standards for wheel strength and durability. A group of 50 journalists and industry experts were charged with the task of judging the most innovative new products introduced into the automotive industry.
